GALLAGHERS'S
FROLICS BAND:
Gallagher's Frolics features Terry O'Neill on fiddle and mandolin,
Eric "Seamus" Sloan on flute and whistle, Norm Myers on bodhran
and bones, and the irrepressible Drew Vervan on guitar and
vocals. The band has been together since 2023 and often performs
with the Irish Dance group Tir Na nOg at area festivals. Gallagher's
Frolics presents an eclectic mix of energetic tunes and moving,
richly layered songs that is quickly gaining attention through
the Mid-Atlantic region.

Terry
O'Neill

Fiddler
Terry O'Neill has been involved in the Irish Traditional
Music scene since the late 1970's. He has shared the stage
with well-known groups such as The Irish Tradition, Celtic
Thunder, and was the original fiddler in O'Malley's March.
As a member of the DC-based quartet Dogs Among the Bushes,
Terry performed at the Festival Interceltique in Lorient,
France. He has recorded with many groups, including the
Baltimore groups Reel Time and Kinsale. Terry spent over
20 years as an instrumental music teacher in Harford County
before retiring in 2021. His repertoire is informed by
his deep knowledge and appreciation of the archival recordings
of Irish musicians spanning the last 100 years. |

Drew
Vervan |
Singer-guitarist Drew also a former member
of Kinsale, has likewise had a long and varied career
spanning rock, folk, and Celtic genres. Drew has performed
for audiences in many parts of the world. His musical
style combines the singer-songwriter tradition of such
diverse musicians as Pete Seeger and Pete Townshend
with the energy of traditional music from Ireland and
Scotland into his own unique, Celtic-acoustic, folk-rock
sound. Drew leads and instructs weekly at The Celtic
Music Club in Maryland.

Eric
"Seamus" Sloan |
Eric is a Trad Irish flute and whistle
player who began his musical career studying the Classical
flute at age 10 and later went on to earn music degrees
from the Cincinnati Conservatory in OH, and Towson University
in MD. He has dedicated the last many years to the study
of traditional Irish flute playing in the Sligo-Roscommon
style. Eric teaches elementary music in a Baltimore County
school and regularly participates in area sessions and
performs with several local modern and Trad Irish bands. |

Norm
Myers |
Norm is a designer and illustratior and enjoys playing
the bodhran at sessions, performances, dances and festivals
in and around Baltimore. He has provided percussion for
such area Trad Irish bands as: Ian Carroll and the Patrick
Players, JPatrick All Stars, Tanzania Ceii Band, Salute
to Baltimore at Maryland Irish Festival, and more. Norm
recently hit several sessions in Ireland. |
